Q:
Routing Symphonic Choirs with any sequencer.
A:
Follow this basic flow diagram to route Symphonic Choirs with your sequencer. Keep in mind that Wordbuilder will be launched as a standalone application.
Sequencer MIDI Track #1 (melody): Input = whatever keyboard/MIDI input source you use. Alternatively, if your sequencer permits, you can draw in MIDI notes by hand. Ouput = Virtual port 1, channel 1. MIDI Track #2 (Wordbuilder return): Input = Virtual port 2, all channels is possible, channel 1 if not.** Output = Symphonic Choirs (Kompakt) all channels if available, channel 1 if not.** ** MIDI Track #3-6 (Wordbuilder return): Input - Virtual port 2, channel 2-5, respectively. output = Kompakt, channels 2-5 respectively. ** These will not be necessary if MIDI track #2 can handle all 5 MIDI channels.** Wordbuilder Input = Virtual Port 1, channel 1. Output = Virtual port 2, channels 1-5. Kompakt Kompakt will be launched as a VST instrument in the sequencer. Different sequencers have different methods of launching VST instruments. Consult the manual of help files if you are not sure how to do this. When using a Wordbuilder Multi, it will have samples loaded on 5 separate channels. Other considerations * You may want to break down Wordbuilder files into shorter chunks. That way, if there is a problem in a later phrase or word, you will not have to wait for everything that comes before it to begin editing. A separate Wordbuilder file for every musical phrase is preferable. * Use only 1 voice choir at a time. Since each Multi uses several hundred MB of RAM, loading different choirs can quickly overload your CPU. * If consonants are too low, you can go into Wordbuilder and manually adjust the level of the attack.

I have selected my computer’s sound card for playback, and the "USB Audio Codec" for recording in Audacity’s preferences screen, but the TTUSB's turntable’s sound is still not playing through my speakers. What now? Do I need to connect the RCA cables from the turntable to my computer? My computer does not have any jacks for RCA connections. What do I do? The turntable on my TTUSB is playing too fast...the vocals sound like chipmunks. Is my turntable broken? |
