Q:
Is there a collection of all 256 (128x2 banks) VL70 presets that can be loaded into my Motif ES, with IDENTICAL Effects settings? I know that there are 3 Preset Banks on the PLGVL (1 each for Velocity, AT, BC), but many of these are not identical to the VL70 versions. The FX in general seem to be more generic in the Motif presets (it seems the same dual delay and reverb are in almost every PLG preset)
A:
The Voice data is the same, ( between the VL70M and the VL70-PLDVL plug -n card for the Motif)
But you must "revoice the effects" because the VL70M hardware unit has very unique mapping options based on using a Wind Controller. Programming on a VL sound is different from programming on sample-playback sounds ( motif ) or any others for that matter. You don't really change the instrument you change how your controllers control it and how the effects are applied to it. I suggest you dig in and customize each sound as you see fit and how it works best for you.
