When trying to save an MP3 file at low bitrates in Sound Forge, the error message "An error occurred while saving one or more files. An error occurred while opening a codec." appears.

If this error appears then go to the Process menu in Sound Forge, before trying to save as an MP3, and resample the file to the template's description sample rate, such as 22,050 Hz. Then when you try saving the file after the resample it should not produce the error message.
