Q:
I have recorded several times on the same CF card on the MicroTrack and deleted old files to make room, but now recording stops after only a few seconds for no apparent reason.
A:
Try formatting the CF card. This has been found to fix the problem:
1) Put the Compact Flash card into the MicroTrack 24/96 and power the unit on. 2) When the MicroTrack finished booting up, press up or down on the [NAV] wheel until you find SYSTEM. Select system by pressing in on the [NAV] button. 2) In SYSTEM, press up or down on the [NAV] wheel until you see FORMAT MEDIA and select it by pressing in on the [NAV] button. 3) The LCD will read “Format Media?” Press in on the [NAV] wheel again. 4) The display will read “Are You Sure?” Press [NAV] again if you are sure. The display will read “Formatting” during this process. When formatting is complete, the display will read “Media Formatted” and will then return to the main screen. You can now record files to the Compact Flash card.
