Q:
Waves plug-ins fail to install and show up in Pro Tools.
A:
In one case, changing the DEP settings resolved the issue and allowed Waves to be isntalled and to function correctly.
1. Rright-click on My Computer > Properties > Advanced (tab) Under Startup and Recovery click Settings > Under System Startup click Edit. 2. The Edit window will open a notepad doc. 3. The end of the last line will read 'NoExecute=OptOn'. 4. Replace OptOn with alwaysoff. 5. Go to the File drop-down menu and save the file. 6. Uninstall and reboot your PC. 7. Reinstall the Waves plu-ins.
