If you don’t have a MIDI keyboard connected to your computer, can you still enter the notes using your mouse. First, create an Instrument Track. In the Pilot Zone, click on “Add New Track” and choose a sound from “Instrument” list. Then just create a new Part in the Arrange Zone on this new track. Double click again on the part to open Key Editor in the multizone area. Hold the Alt key pressed to draw the notes. You can see the pitch of the note on the piano roll on the left hand-side.
