ProTools can't find Digidesign hardware, but my Mbox2 is plugged in.
A:
This can happen if AC-3 Passthrough mode is turned on.
Enabling AC-3 mode in the Control Panel will prevent Pro Tools LE from being able to access the Mbox 2. Always turn off AC-3 mode before attempting to use Pro Tools LE. It can be turned off in the Digidesign Mbox2 Preferences window found in Apple Menu>System Preferences>Digidesign Mbox2 on the Mac.
