Does the FireWire on my Alesis MultiMix operate at FW400 or FW800 speed?
A:
The MultiMix uses the IEEE1394a protocol, also known as FireWire 400 (400Mbit/s). This is the "original" FireWire protocol, not the newer IEEE1394b (800Mbit/s, also called FireWire 800) standard.
