How should I set the mic gain on the Symetrix 528E Voice Processor?

1) Set all processing sections to BYPASS mode.

2) Set the OUTPUT LEVEL control to "0 db."

3) Adjust the MIC GAIN to give you 0 db peaks on the OUTPUT LEVEL meter. The CLIP LED should not flash during normal use.

The best gain setting will ultimately depend on the source material/vocalist and the type of mic being used.
