REMOVE Antivirus, Spy ware and or Firewall.

(If your system has NERO, uninstall it until you have updated to Giga Version 3.21)

Uninstall GIGA Studio - don't reboot
to do this:
Goto Start menu
Select All Programs
Select Tascam
Select GigaStudio 3
Select Uninstall GigaStudio 3.0

Run GigaClean - reboot,
to do this:
Load GS3 Application disc
Go to explore CD
Select Utility folder.
Run the GigaClean program.


Install GIGA 3.0 using your DVD. DO NOT LAUNCH GIGA YET!

Go to our web site and update to the most current version (3.21).
(Re download, do not use any previously downloaded updates) www.tascam.com
Open up the Configuration Manager. Do not launch Giga (Start/Programs/Tascam/GigaStudio/Configuration Manager)

On the ReWire/VST Plug-ins Tab have it scan the system for plugs, does it crash and does it find all of the NFX plugs??
No:
Block the offending plugs.
If YES continue

Open configuration manager again

On the trouble shooting tab check the box for "disable quicksound" so that Giga launches without engaging quick sound. (Does the app open?)

If this works then go into Windows explorer delete the contents of the db folder in the Giga directory then restart the system.

Go back into configuration manager and un check the "disable quicksound" box.

Close configuration manger then try to launch the application.
