Q:
How do I get Drumagog to trigger BFD samples in Pro Tools?

A:
Some versions of Drumagog will trigger BFD samples and the instructions with more details can be found on page63 of the Drumagog manual. Below is an outline on how this process will work.

••Please note••• Only Drumagog Platinum and Drumagog BFD will be able to do this. The demo/free versions of Drumagog and Drumagog Pro will not be able to trigger BFD. (also make sure you have the most recent updates of both appications)

Since Drumagog is using a type of rewire to trigger BFD it is necessary to make sure Drumagog is opened first and BFD is launched 2nd.

1. Insert Drumagog into a audio track that has the audio of the drums you want to "replace." This can be stereo or mono.

2. Launch BFD Stereo on a Stereo Audio or Aux track. Load a drum kit that you would like to have Drumagog trigger. Then minimize BFD

3. Go back to the Drumagog plug-in and in the drop-down menu for choosing a kit, scroll to the bottom and choose "BFD."
This will load the sounds from the kit you have chosen in BFD.

4. Still in Drumagog, choose the sound from the list in the larger display window for that you want to have Drumagog replace the original with. This can be any sound from this list. Ie choosing a hi-hat sound will have Drumagog play a hi-hat sound whenever it "hears" a sound from the audio track, regardless if the triggering sound in Pro Tools is a hi-hat, snare, or kick drum.

••NOTE••
IF BFD also overlays a groove when you first start playing back you may need to turn off this auto funtion in BFD.
In the Play Options Menu (triangle with checkmark) uncheck the "Respond to Groove notes" option.
