Q:
Installing Liquid Mix Emulation files from the web on a Windows PC.
A:
Because the emulations files are not included in the web installer, they must be installed manually. To do this, you must first download the emulation file from Focusrite.com Once the download is complete, unzip the package and copy the emulation files to the LiquidMix emulations directory. After running the latest web installer, you can access the Emulations directory from the Windows Start Menu. Go to:
Start Menu >> All Programs >> Focusrite Liquid Mix >>Shortcut to Emulations If you are running Windows XP, this is a shortcut to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\LiquidMix If you are running Windows Vista, this is a shortcut to Computer\OS (C:)\ProgramData\LiquidMix NOTE: The Application Data directory may be 'hidden' by default. To enable access to hidden folders, do the following: Within the Windows XP directory window, go to the "Tools" menu and select "Folder options..." Click the "View" tab and select "Show Hidden Files and Folders" from the options in the list. If you are using a non-English version of Windows XP or if you are running Windows XP on a drive other than the C: drive, the path to the emulations will be different. For example, if you are running the German version of Windows XP on a D: drive, it will be: D:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\Alle Benutzer\Anwendungsdaten\LiquidMix Once you've copied the emulations to the Liquid Mix directory on your system, you are ready to run Liquid Mix.
