When updating melodyne the previous install may need to be removed before installing the new version. To remove this use the add/remove programs from the control panel. Be sure to check the plugins folder for your DAW to see if it is fully removed (e.g. in Protools make sure the Melodyne.dpm file is not in the c:\program files\common files\digidesign\plugins folder)
