Q:
I just got Steven Slate drums to use with Drumagog and I can't find the GOG files for the cymbals on any of the DVDs.
A:
At this time, the cymbal samples included with Steven Slate drums are in WAV format only (for individual replacing or use with Native Instruments products). This is because of the difficult nature of triggering cymbals. Drum overheads pick up the entire kit fairly well, which can "confuse" Drumagog as it tries to detect and trigger the cymbal samples (since the overheads are picking up more than just cymbals).
These WAV files can be used to manually replace individual cymbal hits, or you can load them into Kontakt and program your sequencer to play them back to match the original performance. They can also be converted to GOG files for use with Drumagog if you like, but again the triggering may not be ideal. See your Drumagog manual or visit
