My Alesis FirePort is not working, the FST software does not see it

My Alesis FirePort is not working, the FST software does not see it.

1. Right Click on "My Computer"
2. Choose Device manager
3. Go down the list to IEEE1394 Bus host controllers
4. Expand the List by clicking on the plus sign ( #)
5. Right mouse click the Texas INStruments IEEE ( Or OHCI) entry
6. Choose Uninstall
7. Unplug the Fireport
8. Restart the computer
9. When it boots, re-plug in the Fireport, open FST
