Kurzweil K2000 Software Update bug 1.28 1.29 Kurzweil K2000 Software Update bug 1.28 1.29
A:
Version 1.28 Enhancements
Power up message "Initializing sample memory..." no longer blinks. Changing effects configurations in the effects editor works now. Object display utility now shows samples in bytes instead of words. Object display utility no longer gives copy project message. Object dump utility now shows IDs correctly while dumping. If FX Mode is "Auto", effect and wet/dry mix are copied to master. Layer delay now works correctly when patched to local parameters. Master tune no longer affects root selection. For large files in disk directory (>32M), size is now displayed correctly. When saving to disk, Keymap 2 is no longer saved if layers are set to mono. Numeric entry for "current disk" has been fixed. Keymap editor now says "Not found" if the root reference is out of range. If the Drum channel has been changed, programs can now be heard as soon as you set the Drum channel to match the keyboard channel. In version 1.0, you had to make a program change before you could hear the program. If the ProChgType parameter set to 0-127, it no longer screws up the bank. Loading from disk with overwrite no longer leaves stuck notes. Editor support for sys-ex display request messages has been added. If the keyboard channel doesn't match the Drum channel, the display indicates the Drum channel. The copy protection routine has been modified to allow the creation of copy-protected disks. A new control source, channel count, has been added. Support for stereo soundblocks has been added. Editors no longer ask you to save when you really don't need to. Keypad entry for sample editor now supports big numbers. When deleting a song, you are no longer asked if you want to delete dependent objects. Songs loaded from disk now correctly renumber bank/program changes. For the program Punchy Drums, layer 3, an editing bug has been fixed. Real-time editing now works all the time. ASR times have been restricted to 30 seconds. You can now use numeric entry to enter times longer than 30 seconds. MAJOR FIXES IN 1.29 Songs loaded from disk (including our demos) will now play the correct program changes, especially in the case where the song is loaded into a different bank than the one it was created in. The K2000 will noe correctly figure out dependent objects when saving the songs to disk. Saving RAM samples from the editor now works correctly when saving across SIMM bank boundries. MINOR FIXES: Objects numbered 999 are now correctly deleted when Delete Everything is selected. After switching to a new MIDI channel for the first time since power-up or soft reset, the K2000 now correctly works even after editing a program on the locked channel. Switching from external to local sequencer clock while a song is playing, but no external clock is being received, no longer plays a million notes a second. Volume adjusts in the sample editor no longer effect real time editing.
