Q:
Cannot get Digi init to recognise Hard Drive on Digi SCSI buss. Hard Drive Partition Size as it relates to System Versions and the Digi SCSI Buss.
A:
With System 7.1 or below the Digi buss will NOT recognize any hard drive that has a partition that is 2 gigabytes or larger.
With System 7.5 or higher a drive with partitions up to 4 gigabytes can be recognized by the Digi buss. If the user has a PTIII system he should consider an upgrade to System 7.5. If he/she does not want to do this a work around is to reformat the drive with partitions smaller than 2 gigabytes. HARD DRIVES SHOULD NEVER BE REFORMATTED WHILE CONNECTED TO THE DIGI SCSI BUSS. They should be connected to the Mac SCSI buss for any formatting or optimization.
