My customer called to tell me this info that is NOT in the manual for DECK. He obtained the info by calling OSC:

If you use DECK with a PowerMac you must tell it in preferences that you use it with PowerMac. You can't use the effects if you don't do this.

Under Options, then under hardware configuration, if you have a sound tools II card & a Power Mac select "Sound Tools II MTT". Then quit the program and reinitialize. All will then be well.
