Q:
How do the Effects translate from program to mix mode. Effects In Mix Mode.
A:
If you want a specific effect from a sound you auditioned in "program mode" "tied" to that sound within a "mix" , you need to assign the fx parameter( in mix mode) to midi program change "off" and then set its channel number to the same number as the sound you designated as the "master". At this point all the other sounds within that "Mix" will have to use some portion of the effect you've chosen, (via the four buss inputs) or, via either the 3&4 outputs, or the buss inputs, be output "dry"..... . Each effect can have up to four inputs, each capable of addressing a different effect, some of which may be multieffects.... For instance, buss#1 could be a flange, while buss#2 could be reverb, #3 a delay, and #4 eq and distortion. This is just an example and the actual choices are far more extensive.
The things you must be aware of are: 1.There is only one effect proccessor..... 2 This proccessor is capable of doing more than one effect at a time.... 3. You can choose what single sound will be the master that the effect is "tied" to in a mix . ( this, by the way, will be the only "sound" that will be feeding all four inputs to the effect proccessor.) 4. .The other sounds in the "mix" MUST use the effect "tied" to the sound you chose as master... 5...these other sounds can be assigned to any one of four busses, or outputs 3&4 (where they appear dry). 6...The level of effect for each sound is adjusted by the amount you send to the buss. 7..You will need to write down your favorite sounds with pen and paper to assist you as you create these mixes....... This is a pain, but it is the only way I know how to do it. |
