Many Amek consoles come fitted with ITT-Cannon EP8 power supply connectors. These can become intermittant with rough use and cause popping. I recomment replacing the EP8 connector with Neutrix SPEAKON NL8 series connectors for the advantage of the stronger locking mechanism.

The Neutrix Speakon NL4 and NL8 chassis mount connectors are EP8 footprint compatible.

The NL4 is available in an XLR "D" compatible case for stage box and panel mounting.
