Q:
After shippiing of rough handling several SOLO leds fail to light Solo LED failure
A:
After shippiing or rough handling, several SOLO leds fail to light. The Solo functions but there is no LED indication. This can, and often does, happen to an entire area of the board. I have seen 12 in a row fail.
The console has taken a rather strong hit on a corner. When the chassis twists the Solo LEDs crack internally. The solution is to replace ALL 55 SOLO LEDs. This is a warranty modification, regardless of the console age. The factory design change is at serial number AD14976. Mackie is paying to modify consoles ONLY if they fail. THIS IS NOT A RECALL! Many consoles sit in a stationary position and are never moved again. These do not need modified. It takes a drop of larger than 6", onto a corner , to break the LEDs. This is a 5 hour job, plus shipping.
