To set up for multitrack recording on the ex series machines, you must first initialize a performance..

1. Press Job, select Init perform, press enter twice and then press yes to confirm..

2. Go into Performance edit and press F3 for Multi, then scroll to top left and assign sounds for the different parts.. The defaults are part one = channel one, etc..

3. Store the performance you created for the song you are working on.. IE: If you create a Performance for Techno, you'd use it when recording techno music..New Age for those songs and so forth.. This machine is kinda like the Roland regarding the use of parts within a performance..
