Here's the "bad pigtail" test
BAD PIGTAIL
1. run audio through the card
2. turn speakers down low
3. touch tip to sleeve o the RCA connections
4. if you get audio, the pigtail is bad.
*don't rely on emagic to drop ship these - they've dropped the ball a few times for me.
