Installation difficulty ratings will be available in the inventory notes of the options we stock .Here is the meaning of each rating #
Install Difficulty Rating 1 - your mother can install it - plugs right in, requires no tools, Steve Sutliff could install this one... - ex. SRJV boards, VS8F1 Install Difficulty Rating 2 - Easy to install, requires basic tools (screwdrivers, pliers), no soldering, basic disassembly of unit - ex. K2000 Fan Kit Install Difficulty Rating 3 - Medium install, requires more advanced tools (chip puller, multimeter) - ex. ROM1, EX5/7 Install Difficulty Rating 4 - Difficult install, requires soldering, major disassembly of the unit - ex. PRAM, MPC2000 SIMMs Install Difficulty Rating 5 - Expert install, requires service manual, soldering of miniature components, board level mods - Should be installed only by authorized technicians - ex. KDFX, Trinity updates, Mackie board mods The ultimate answer to - " Is this option user installable" - is simple..... It depends on the user!!
