Q:
Is there a way to save a Song in a K2xxx as a SMF? (Standard MIDI File) My recording software does not recognize the .K25 extension when I try to Import MIDI from the floppy. Saving / Creating an SMF (Standard MIDI File) from a Kurzwiel Sequence (K2000, K2500, K2600)
A:
The problem you and he are having is that you're both trying to Import a "Kurzweil" Song instead of an SMF. You have to Export the Song(s) out of the Kurzweil as Standard MIDI Files (Type 0 or Type 1).
1. Write a hit Song. 2. Go to DISK Mode. Press Save. Press Export. 3. Press MIDI. Scroll to desired Song. Press OK. 4. Name Song with 8 characters. Press OK 5. Choose directory and press OK. 6. Choose SMF Type 0 or SMF Type 1
