Q:
how to switch anal input routing modes on all adats Analog Input Routing modes : routing problems "My ADAT is routing analog inputs 1 & 2 into all 8 tracks."
A:
Q: My ADAT is routing analog inputs 1 & 2 into all 8 tracks. What's going on here?! Is my ADAT broken? Can I change this?
A: All Adat's have the ability to route inputs 1 & 2 to all channels (1 goes to 1,3,5,7 ; 2 goes to 2,4,6,8). Depending on the type of ADAT you have, you can easily switch this Analog Input Mode back and forth. Here's a brief overview of the modes - 2 input mode : input 1 is routed to tracks 1,3,5,7 ; input 2 is routed to tracks 2,4,6,8. - 4 input mode : inputs 1-4 are routed to tracks 1-4 & 5-8 respectively (eg 1 goes to 1 & 5, 2 goes to 2 & 6, etc.) Original/Blackface ADATs - Automatic: If only analog 1-2 are plugged into the inputs, those inputs are automatically routed to all tracks (odd/even). If all inputs are connected, normal 8 input routing is enabled LX20, XT, XT20: 2-input mode : Hold ANALOG INPUT while pressing 1 or 2. 4-input mode : hold ANALOG INPUT while pressing 3 or 4. 8-input mide : hold ANALOG INPUT while pressing 5,6,7 or 8 M20 press INPUT ROUTING to enter analog routing options 2-input mode : press 1 or 2. 4-input mode : press 3 or 4. 8-input mide : press 5,6,7 or 8
