Warning: Checking the ROM Version on XV-5080 Causes Factory Reset
We've learned that checking the ROM version in an XV-5080 causes a factory reset to be performed, wiping out the contents of RAM. We've logged this with Japan and anticipate an update to resolve the problem. In the meantime, before checking a caller's software version, make sure that whatever's in RAM has been safely backed up first.
