Early D8B's were shipped with 16 MB of RAM - because that's all that was needed prior to UFX. when using more than 2 UFX cards 32 MB is required. Units produced after some time in June/July 2000 started shipping with 32MB. The best way for a customer to check his RAM is to watch the BIOS during Boot-up.
The serial number cut-off point is somewhere around BS14550 ; but the best way to make sure is to watch the BIOS when booting.
