When I launch ProTools I get a "ProTools Hardware is not installed or is in use by another application" ProTools Error " ProTools hardware is either not installed , or is in use by another application"
A:
1.First make sure no programs are running.
2.Go to your Apple Menu in the top left corner.Under the apple , goto the control panels folder and select "Sound" from the sub menu.Make sure that "Built-in" is selected for both Sound in and Sound out. NOT "Digidesign".Close up the Sound control panel when you are done. 3.Restart the computer. 4.Launch ProTools.. 5.Go to work!
