Q:
How do I set the XV5080 up to receive and play all 32 parts?
A:
- In order for the XV5080 to respond to 32 separate midi channels (and play all 32 parts), midi connections must be made on _both_ midi input ports (MIDI IN 1, MIDI IN 2) of the XV5080.
- If you're using a software sequencer to play the XV5080, you'll generally need to create TWO XV5080's in your midi setup: One for parts 1-16, and a second for parts 17-32. - The XV5080 must be in Performance mode, to recieve on multiple channels. User Performance #64 is already setup to receive 32 midi channels and play all 32 parts. *(if User Perf 64 is not responding correctly, try initializing the XV5080 see Tech Support Solutions article 4160)
