Q:
I need a huge amount of storage space, and I would like to be able to use tape back-up. What's available?
A: Travan tape back-up capability is included in MX-OS. Another solution would be to take that sled-mounted fixed drive off the MX-2424, and plug it right into a Mac (PC disk format coming soon). Then, back-up the drive with whatever method you like. Exabyte, Travan... maybe you've got an old reel storage device from the 6 Million Dollar Man movie set. You make the call.
