Q:
I'm having trouble with crashes on Sonar on Win98 / WinME. What can I do?
A:
First, make sure all drivers are updated. Sonar has a 1.02 patch on their website which fixes many problems. Also, go to Microsoft's homepage and download DirectX 8.0a. To improve stability in Win98/ME go to your audio card's control panel, and, if available, switch to MME drivers instead of WDM. They're more stable on a non-Win2k platform, though latency is much higher. Also go to Options, Audio, Advanced, and turn on the box 'Always use MME drivers' in Sonar.
