How do I set up the MIDI Metronome for a "click track" in Pro Tools LE with QuickTime Musical Instruments and the Digi001?
A:
1) Insert a 1/8 inch Stereo to (2) 1/4 inch male ,Y cable into the Speaker Jack Output on the back of the Mac which goes to INPUTS 3+4 on the back of the Digi001 .
2) Make sure that "built-in" is selected for "Output" in the Mac's Sound Control Panel. 3) Launch your current OMS setup (found in the "OMS Applications folder" ,which is in the "Opcode folder" on your Mac HD. 4) Double Click on the QuickTime Musical Instruments Icon to enable the synth, and choose "ON" 5) Now Save and Close the OMS Studio Setup. 6) Now Restart the Computer. 7) Now launch ProTools. 8) Double Click on Metronome Icon on Transport Control 9) Select QuickTime Music / Ch. 10 for "Output" 10) Select D#1(side Stick) for accented notes . 11) Select D#1 for unaccented notes. 12) Now create a Stereo Aux Track in ProTools. 13.Go to the Mix Window and set the Input for the Aux Track to "Analog 3+4" 14.Now you will hear the Click Sound come through the Digi001.You can adjust the volume of the click with the Aux Track Fader! 15.If you wish to Monitor the Click through the Mac (because you need the Analog Inputs for Something else, just Pull the 1/8 inch plug from the back of the Mac, and it will come out of the internal Speaker.
