Q:
how do I change my fader in the Mixer window to a Surround Panner in DP3?
A:
Actually the answer is you can't change it to a surround Panner UNLESS the track has been created to be a SURROUND VOICE in your track window...
the standard default screen that comes up in DP3 gives you MONO and STEREO tracks and a few midi tracks to play with.. Those particular tracks cannot be CHANGED to Surround because a MONO track and SURROUND track are 2 different beast.. To add a SURROUND track step 1: on your track page go to the mini menu at the top left corner, next to the down arrow step 2: chose add track step 3: chose Surround voice step 4 : open your MIXER page and highlight the new track that you created to show it in the mixer configuration and your panner should be there
