Q:
Some tracks in ProTools (5.1 +) get muted when I add more Waves plug-ins (to a session with many Waves plugins already used). How do I fix this?
A:
This can commonly be attributed to RAM allocation * for DAE. DAE's preferred size can be raised between 100,000 - 200,000 in ProTools 5.1.x . (ProTool's RAM allocation may have and effect on this as well. You can also allocate ProTools' preffered size to 100,000 or more).
If raising DAE's preferred size doesn't help, try trashing DAE prefs, Digisetup, WaveshellDAE prefs, & WaveshellRTAS prefs. * Keep DAE's minimum size at about 35000. Total RAM allocation for ProTools and DAE depends on how much system ram you have.
