After purchasing the DPS16 do I need to format the drive before I can record?
A:
Typically you don’t need to format the drive. More than likely the drive has already been pre-formatted. To be sure, press the DISK mode button and check the “Status” of the drive. If it reports “NOT FORMATTED” you will need to format the drive. If it reports “NOW SELECTED” the drive is already formatted and ready for use.
