When I use my wireless system, there are dropouts even if the transmitter is not very far from the transmitter. What may cause these dropouts?
A:
The squelch mutes the receiver when the received signal is too weak and prevents the related unwanted noise or, when the transmitter is switched off, the self-noise of the receiver from becoming audible. IMPORTANT: Under normal operating conditions, always set the squelch control to "MIN." so you can utilize the full sensitivity of the receiver.
