Q:
How can I setup my US428 control surface to work with Sonic Foundry's Sound Forge 5.0?
A:
In Sound Forge, go to Options - Preferences - Midi, and choose the 428 Control as midi input. Also go to Options - Midi Triggers. Programming it is very easy. Select the preset Reset All Triggers to None. If you select the bottom button (Enable midi input...) you can highlight the desired function and press a button on the 428 and it will program that function. If you wish to delete one, change the function to None. Then simply Save As and choose a setup name such as US428 when you're happy with the setup. Every time you start Sound Forge, simply press CTRL-F7 to enable midi input and this will activate your custom controls.
