A: The ddrum4 hi-hat controller is not compatible with ddrum3, and there is no function in ddrum3 that allows for a hi-hat controller. The ddrum4 cast cymbals can be used with ddrum3, but you won't be able to use the 'zone' (bell/ride) or damping (choking) functions.
