Q:
I can't find my sounds?
A: FINDING THE SOUNDS! The problem is either the instruments were not installed, or SampleTank is not set to find them. First: The instruments in the folder 'XL Edition Instrument List' are simply an example of the range of the XL version of SampleTank. They are included in the demo but without soundwaves; if they were complete, the folder would be 2.5 gigabytes in size. Simply delete that folder if it gets in the way. All the instruments for SampleTank Free have to be downloaded separately. Here you can find the current list: www.sampletank.com We have two pianos, piano+strings, acoustic drums, bongos, and a package with sixteen limited (about one octave only) demo instruments. We usually make a new free instrument available every month. Second: Once the instruments are in your system, press the 'Root' button in SampleTank and select the folder with the instruments. Usually on your Hard Drive or in your Recording Program's Plug-In Folder>IK Multimedia>Sampletank Instruments. IMPORTANT: When you get to the Sampletank Instruments Folder, click on it once, then click CHOOSE. Their names will be displayed immediately in the interface, ready to be played.
