Q:
When I hit the Power Button on my G4 MAC the button gets bright and then dims. I get no screen.Computer does not boot up.
A:
With the Mac UNPLUGGED , open it up . Find the Battery. It is a small (about 1 1/2 inch) Lithium battery. You must remove the Battery Pull Tab from the Battery Holder. After removing it , you will see a small little black button near the Battery. This is the Power Management Unit Button. Press it ONLY ONCE for less than1 second.DO NOT PRESS IT A SECOND TIME! Now wait 10 Seconds before connecting the AC Power Cable and booting computer. The mac should now fully boot.
