How do I move my audio files to another drive within Cakewalk?

First, you will want to go to the original location of the files, depending on the version of Cakewalk you have:
c:\program files\cakewalk\cakewalk pro audio 9\wavdata
c:\program files\cakewalk\cakewalk homestudio 9\wavdata
c:\program files\cakewalk\cakewalk express 9\wavdata

Copy all files to another location (example: d:\audio). We suggest copying the files rather than moving them just in case there is a problem, in which case you would have two copies of them temporarily, but if you are comfortable moving them, you may do so. (You can always move them back to the original location)

Go in to Cakewalk and go to Options - Audio - Advanced and change the Wav data directory to the directory you copied the files to. Cakewalk will now look to this directory to playback all previous audio tracks, and will record to this directory in all future recordings. You might want to test a few of your projects just to see if the move was successful. Then you can go back and delete the original Cakewalk wavdata directory.
