How can I get my ADAT tape out if it has run itself to the end or beginning of the tape and is stuck?

You can initialize the ADAT and / or put it into ship mode to get the tape to release tension and eject.

Initialize: Record and Play (while powering up)
then, hold input 1 and 7 (while powering up) for test mode
first item is ship mode
press play to activate ship mode. Also note: DO NOT go any farther than ship mode in the test mode to avoid altering the service adjustments that require a Alesis authorized technician to re-calibrate or repair the ADAT.
LX20: The only difference is to hold "input 7" (while power up) for test mode and hold only "record" (while power up) for initialization. - (Owners book is slightly incorrect, so be sure to notate this for future reference)
