This information applies to the following models: Motif 6, Motif 7 and Motif 8.

This procedure is useful when you would like to drive a sound on another MIDI device from a Track in a Song or Performance. It may also be useful to 'thin out' a Song or Performance by, in effect, muting a Track.



1) Within Song or Pattern mode, press the [MIXING] button.

2) Press the [EDIT] button.

3) Select the Track.


a) Press an 'ELEMENT/PERF. PART/ZONE' button, 1-16.
b) Press [F1] button to select 'Voice'.
c) Press the [SF2] button to select 'Mode'.

4) Press the 'Cursor' buttons to select a MIDI receive channel.

5) Turn the (DATA/JOG) Dial clockwise or press the [YES] button until the receive channel is set to OFF. Motif will not play the Voice on that track but it will still send the Track's MIDI performance to other gear.
