Yamaha are pleased to release the 1.40 OS updater for Motif, which not only irons out a few minor glitches with it, but also improves on the functionality.

The update is available on the Yamaha US site. You can find version 1.40 for download at:
yamaha.com
Remember to back up the data on your Smart Media card and in your Motif before starting the update procedure.

Improved stability of loading Samples in Performance and Song/Pattern Modes

Improved handling of SMF file importing of many files

Fixed display of Clock Setting in Seq Job Event - Clock shift

Normalize Sampling Job was improved for values over 100%

Fixed Tempo Delay problem when Clock Out set off

Fixed Bug of Plug-in Voice Bulk dumps to PLG 2 and 3 being reversed

Added ability to record Mutes in real time Pattern Chain
Improved Dynamic Voice allocation algorithm for better polyphony

Improved Stability of USB operation
(There is also an update to the Motif’s USB micro processor which further improves USB communication. This update is done via an SMF file and wil be made available soon)
