Q:
While trying to load my audio device drivers in Windows XP, why does it keep saying it could not load the drivers because the device was not signed by Microsoft, and aborts the installation?
A:
You probably have Driver Signing blocking turned on in Windows. To correct this, Right-click on My Computer, go to Properties, Hardware, Driver Signing, and select Warn instead of Block. Also checkmark Make this action the system default.
As bad as the warning sounds when you install your hardware, this is normal- Microsoft hasn't specifically given their seal of approval for the drivers for your hardware, and basically is the way all hardware drivers are.
