Q:
Why doesn't my VST 2.0 effect plugin won't show up in the Audio Intstrument section?
A:
Vital information about plug-ins used in Logic is cached. For this reason a MIDI-capable VST2.0 effect plug-in might not show up in the Audio Instrument pop-up window in some cases. (VST2.0 software instruments are not are not effected by this.) To fix this insert the VST2.0 effect plug-in as a track insert into an audio track and restart Logic - or just re-launch Logic's audio engine if possible. From now on the MIDI-capable VST2.0 effect plug-in will be available as Audio Instruments as well.
