Q:
How can I get Steinberg Wavelab 4.0 to work with my CD burner in Windows 2000 / XP? Currently, it says it's burning but immediately says "CD Successfully Burned."
A:
Make sure you have Wavelab 4.0c.
To help for a diagnostic, please run WaveLab/Tools/Tracer.exe then run WaveLab and burn the CD. After the burning is "finished", please email us the text contents of the Tracer tool (email to the address given in the WaveLab help menu). Run WaveLab\Tools\CDR\drvreg.exe to find out what Wavelab detects your CD burner as. Make sure that your Windows registry has this: Registry Entries for WinNT 4.0/2000: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\ASPI32] "ErrorControl"=dword:00000001 "Start"=dword:00000001 "Type"=dword:00000001 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\ASPI32\Parameters] "ExcludeMiniports"=""
