Why can't I get my installed DirectX plugins to show up in Sonic Foundry's Sound Forge XP Studio?

Sound Forge XP Studio does not support DirectX plugins, only the bundled plugins because this is a stripped-down version of Sound Forge. The full Sound Forge package supports DirectX plugins.
