I have a digital audio device that doesn't have a word clock input, how do I send clock to it?
A:
It is quite common for "pro-sumer" gear to lack a BNC word clock input. These devices can still be locked to the AardSync II by sending an AES/EBU output of the AardSync II to the devices AES/EBU input or S/PDIF input (if you use an optional Aardvark AES/EBU to S/PDIF adapter). A device with a "Video In" only (no word clock) can be locked to an AardSync II which is outfitted with the UVG video generator (see below for info on the UVG option). The AardSync II would then output a video blackburst signal which the device could receive and lock to.
